Furniture made to fit the room, and built to outlast it.

A two-person joinery workshop on the edge of Uppsala. We draw, cut and finish everything by hand and machine in our own shop, from a single bookshelf to a full kitchen.

What we make

Made-to-measure furniture

Tables, benches, wardrobes and shelving sized for awkward alcoves, sloping ceilings and old houses that are never quite square.

Kitchen fronts & worktops

Solid wood doors and oiled oak or ash worktops that fit standard cabinet frames, so you can renew a kitchen without replacing it.

Stairs & interior joinery

Staircases, handrails, window seats and door linings for renovations, matched to existing mouldings where needed.

Repairs & refinishing

Loose joints, split tops and tired finishes. We would rather save a good old chair than sell you a new one.

How a commission works

  1. Visit and measure. We come and look at the space, talk through how it will be used and take careful measurements.
  2. Drawing and quote. You get a simple drawing, a wood sample and a fixed price before anything is cut.
  3. Building. Most pieces take three to six weeks in the workshop, depending on size and finish.
  4. Delivery and fitting. We deliver and install ourselves, and come back to adjust anything once the wood has settled.

The wood we use

We work mainly with Swedish and Nordic timber, air-dried and then kiln-finished, and we finish with hard wax oils and soap rather than lacquer wherever we can.
